Focus on Our Future - 2026

Our parents, teachers, staff, and students are partners in the ongoing development of our school.  Through workshops both in person and online, we learn together. Through events, like the Family First Carnival, International Day, Sports Day, and Qatar National Day, we celebrate and experience each other’s cultures together.  Additionally, though events like Focus on Our Future, we develop the strategic vision for our school together.

Focus on Our Future was a culminating event as the school moved forward after learning about instructional practices and reviewing our data.  Did you know that students and parents played the biggest role in the Focus on Our Future event? Together, at a working session in January 2026, a team of more than 50 parents, teachers, staff, and students examined our 6-month self-study data (both quantitative and qualitative) and had robust discussion to determine the three essential impacts.  All participants then considered what is vital for preparing students for their future.  Preparing students for their future (and not our past) is essential to ensruing their success.

Students participated along with parents and staff to determine our three NEASC goals, a big part of our strategic vision.  Teachers are guided by this plan in their everyday work.  We are moving forward with three impacts in our Major Learning Plan :

1. Learners will transfer their learning and apply in a real world context.
2. Learners develop an understanding of  cultures and life experiences different from their own through ongoing exploration, reflection, action and feedback.
3. Learners demonstrate the skills and dispositions of self-directed learners.

Our work together is vital to developing programs like the STA program, cybersecurity, eSports, volunteering, internships, clubs, activities, and much more!  The student experience is enhanced by the collaborative work of parents, teachers, staff and students.
