Jarrod Williams

Mr. Jarrod Williams is the Middle School Principal at GEMS American Academy Qatar. He brings extensive international leadership experience across the Middle East and Asia, having held roles including Head of Academics and Academic Director. He is passionate about creating schools where students are known, challenged, and supported to reach their full potential.

Jarrod holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of London and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Management from Liverpool John Moores University. His experience spans instructional leadership, curriculum development, teacher coaching, student wellbeing, strategic planning, and school improvement. He believes outstanding schools are built on high expectations, meaningful relationships, and a culture that empowers students and staff to grow.

As Middle School Principal, Jarrod is committed to making Grades 6–8 a transformative stage that inspires curiosity, builds character, develops independence, and prepares students for high school and beyond. He works closely with students, families, and staff to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that balances academic excellence with wellbeing, leadership opportunities, and a strong sense of belonging.

Outside school, Jarrod enjoys technology, sports, and travel. He values strong partnerships between school and home and believes that working together gives every student the opportunity to thrive.
