Thomas Griffths
Principal, High School
Thomas Griffiths serves as the High School Principal at GEMS American Academy Qatar (GAAQ).
Before this role, he served as the Head of the Electives Department at GAAQ. Prior to joining GAAQ, Thomas held various educational leadership positions where he championed technology and innovation in education across schools in Qatar and Asia.
Thomas holds a BA in Business and Analytics, which provides him with a strong foundation in Computer Science. He also earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Derby.
Outside of school, Thomas is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys playing football, tennis, and golf (though he humbly admits, not very well!). He also loves spending time with his wife and children, exploring new places both in Qatar and around the world.
